Dr. Jason Kvitle volunteered to come out to Transitions of Western Illinois with his technician to check the glasses of our Developmentally Disabled Adults. There were many eye pads that needed replaced, screws tightened, glasses cleaned etc. He was extremely patient and kind to each of our consumers as he met individually with them. I went to Dr. K. Kvitle because I had temporary blindness in my right eye. Because he strongly urged me to get an ultrasound of my carotid arteries, they determined they were both over 80% clogged. I thank God for him because I think I might have had a stroke had he not told me I needed further testing.

A couple of weeks ago, I had the rare opportunity to experience a spontaneous tear to my retina. In layman's terms, the tear in my eye occurred without injury; just happened. Dr. Kirk Kvitle saw me on a Sunday, and paved the path for me to see an eye surgeon that same day in St. Louis. The caring approach and expert consultation, prevented my acute situation from progressively getting worse. The caring follow-up continued after my procedure in St. Louis.
