I went to Four Paws vet the next day and she was diagnosed with IBS and treated for three days straight. She died on the third day. I blame myself every day that i took her there first because that would have been an extra day we could have tried to save her. Later I found out from an animal control officer ( I filed a report, it was investigated) that Kessler has in fact LOST his license and that old man was a vet they brought in from California so they wouldn't get shut down.
My cat was pooping blood and not moving, eating, etc. I immediatly found help and aside from the MULTIPLE counts of animal cruelty and disposing of animal remains in a dumpster. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Boy was i wrong. If i went somewhere else first my childhood friend might still be alive.
We have been taking our pets (dogs and a parakeet) to KRAH for many years. The staff have always been caring and knowledgeable, for annual check ups and care visits. Good people, treating our pets with love and kindness. This week our dog had aN acute problem arise that turned out to be spinal stenosis complicated with bone spurs on 2 of his lumbar vertebrae. It was diagnosed, treatment begun immediately, and all issues communicated to us rapidly and in language we could understand. Good people!
I beg you, don't take your animals here, what they are doing CAN'T be legal and I don't want anyone to loose their childhood best friend the way I did.
We have dealt with Katherine Road Animal Hospital for more than 20 years and have always found them to be wonderful. We also use their grooming facilities. Dr. Kaiser saved the lives of three of our dogs and cared for them in a professional and loving manner.
These folks demonstrated the highest level of service and customer care that I have EVER experienced. I am truthfully thunderstruck by the outright kindness provided to a stranger.

I scrambled to call this hospital to see if they could help and I could have not been more pleased with the service and level of care they provided. Brandy hurried to get me in right away, explaining everything the Dr. needed to do and providing me an estimate before they proceeded. She reassured me that everything would be OK and even provided me a number that I could call/text if I had further questions. Dr Kaiser even came out to shake my hand and go over things again. UNBELIEVABLE.They even worked with me on billing and got me on my way to Florida. In and out in about an hour - amazing. Brandy even called a few days later to make sure my little guy was OK.
When my Yorkie was bit by a German Shepard, I had thought that his wounds had healed over and we would be able to make the long drive from Iowa to Florida. Unfortunately, he scratched the site and infected the wounds during the first leg of our trip.
In for an emergency - the absolute best care!
When i call him out on trying to push a sale he forcefully shoves my sick cat into the carrier and literally pushes me out. If i had known better i would have pressed charges. For the sake of your pets well being and your money DONT GO HERE!
Absolutely would recommend to any locals - too bad I am in FL otherwise I would make you my local vet.

Love everyone that works here. The Vet is great and has never abuses any of my animals. Everyone is ready and willing to help no matter what.
First off when doctor Kessler comes in all we do is talk about my job and my personal life, not even examining my cat. He then walks out of the room and this super old man walks in and hands me pamphlets and tells me the only way to help my cat is to inject steroids in her and buy all this flea medicine. Fleas don't do this i've dealt with them hundred of times before. She didn't have fleas.
