Everything went as planned. There were a few hundred less miles listed as the starting mileage, but it was unlimited miles anyway.
It makes me Hertz its so good.
We rented a Dodge Grand Caravan to move some boxes from Il to Nv. The vehicle drove really well and we were impressed with the gas mileage we received. The only negative thing was we actually had to clean the van after we picked it up. There was trash and a water bottle under the front seats and we had to take it to a car wash to vacuum it out. We got back to Vegas a few days early so we took a drive down to southern California and camped on the beach with the van. The seats fold down under the floor so it made a nice bed. My son caught 100s of Pokemon Go characters on Santa Monica Pier. A very eventful trip ! Thank you Hertz !
Husband & I took the scenic route to visit my brother in L.A. They gave us a 2015 Chevy Malibu. This was a great car for us. Plenty of room for us, our luggage and all our "goodies" we acquired along the way. Very comfortable for the long hours we were in it and great gas mileage. The gentleman at the counter recommended we purchase the insurance in case something happened. He was in no way pushy, just had our best interest in mind. Glad he did, because at 8:30 pm we hit a big buck deer and did extensive damage to the car in Hays, KS. We were only a couple miles from our motel and was able to drive the car there (slowly). I filed a police report and called Hertz. They had a different car ready for us by 7:30 am and we were back on the road just shortly behind schedule. It was a compact instead of a full size, not near a comfortable or roomy as our first car, but it worked for our short ride back to Quincy. Then, to my delight, Quincy only charged us the compact rate for our entire trip. I can not say enough good about Quincy, IL Hertz!!! I will recommend them to everyone and go directly to them for all my future needs. Plus, it is a great peace of mind knowing they are there to help you if you have car trouble!
Very disappointed. Returned the car first thing Friday morning. They said their computer was down and couldn't process the return right then. When they finally process my return 3 days later, they charged me for extra hours and said the windshield was damaged, when it wasn't damaged 3 days earlier when I returned it.
